Are you an entry level welder looking to get your foot in the door with a welding company?

The Advance Group has partnered with a Petersburg company seeking MIG Welders. The company manufactures everything from janitorial carts to step stools to complex shipping racks and containers.

Job duties for the MIG Welder include:

• Prepare material surfaces to be welded
• Mark or tag material with proper job numbers
• Ensure no loose or thick scale, slag, rust or moisture on material
• Install torches, filler rods and flux according to welding chart specifications

Requirements of the MIG Welder:

• Knowledgeable in MIG Welding
• Previous welding experience
• Proficient with measuring devices and hand tools
• Must be able to pass pre-employment weld test

Hours for MIG Welder:

• 1^st shift Monday-Thursday 7am-4:30pm, Friday 7am-3:30pm
• Saturdays are optional 7am-11:30am

Compensation and Benefits for MIG Welder:

• Starting pay is $19hr
• This is a temp to hire position for the right candidate
• Pay increase and benefits upon hire
