A company in Taylor is looking for an experienced CNC Tube Bender!
This would be a temp to hire opportunity on 2nd shift
Pay rate based on experience $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
The purpose of this job is to bend metal structural shapes, such as bars, strips, rods, angles, and tubes to a specified angle or contour.
Essential Functions of Job:
The essential functions of the job include:
Operating machinery and equipment as directed; interpreting blueprints; setting up and operating manual and CNC bending machines; verifying conformance of work piece to specifications; recognizing typical problems in parts and equipment when they occur; performing tool changeover and adjustments; cleaning and other general shop tasks; performing other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.
Skills required to carry out the essential functions include the ability to: learn and master new skills; understand and follow directions and rules; safely and effectively operate various machinery and equipment; produce (quality and quantity) parts that meet specifications and expected output levels; visually identify and correct deficiencies in parts produced; interact appropriately and collaborate with fellow employees and management; communicate effectively (written and oral) with other employees and management; demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service; work efficiently in a fast paced manufacturing environment with the flexibility to prioritize duties and multi-task at different levels.
Equipment operated as part of the essential functions: (includes but is not limited to) manual and CNC bending machines, forklift truck, telephone, computer and related technology.
Physical requirements which are part of the essential functions: standing, sitting, moving, climbing, lifting up to 50 lbs, push/pull up to 50 lbs, bending, stooping hearing or equivalent, sight-visual acuity.
Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers including fine, highly controlled muscular movements to adjust the position of a control mechanism; skillful, controlled manipulations of small objects; coordinating the movement of more than one limb simultaneously and bending or stooping repeatedly or continually over time.
Mental requirements which are part of the essential functions: The ability to; read and understand job instructions; effectively communicate and interact with others.
Benders must have 2-3 years experience and/or on the job training with supervisor approval, be able to interpret blueprints, be familiar with manual Pines benders in their set-up and operation, have basic computer skills, have general inspection knowledge, and an understanding of Basic shop math, geometry and trigonometry.
