What You’ll Do As A Journeyman Maintenance Technician:
  • Dismantle devices to access and replace defective parts
  • Inspect parts to ensure they meet specifications
  • Repair or replace faulty components
  • Install specialized functional and structural parts
  • Operate lathes, drill presses, grinders, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts
Requirements – What You Need To Be A Successful Journeyman Maintenance Technician:
  • Journeyman Electrician license required
  • Completion of government or company-sponsored apprenticeship program or related degree preferred
  • Strong problem-solving skills handling multiple variables
  • Proficient with math: adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
