The Advance Group is hiring an experienced Industrial Mechanic in Perrysburg, OH for a reputable motor and gearbox repair shop.
Pay:
- $22–30/hour based on experience
- Direct hire (start with the company, not contract)
Schedule:
- Monday – Friday: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Optional weekend overtime available
Industrial Mechanic Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electric motors, motor generators, pumps, and gearboxes
- Disassemble, inspect, repair, and reassemble motors and components
- Identify parts needed and complete repair documentation for ordering
- Balance rotors and armatures to required specifications
- Perform repair work on customer-submitted equipment
- Use hand and power tools (impact wrenches, torches, etc.)
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Work alongside a team to meet repair timelines
Industrial Mechanic Requirements:
- 3–5 years of experience repairing electric motors, gearboxes, pumps, or motor generators
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Experience in a motor or gearbox repair shop required
- Ability to identify parts and complete documentation accurately
- Comfortable using hand and power tools daily
- High attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Reliable attendance and ability to work both independently and on a team
