The Advance Group is currently seeking a 1st shift Shipping and Receiving Associate for an elevator manufacturer located in Toledo, OH. The ideal candidate will possess previous experience with Shipping and Receiving and operating Forklifts.

Responsibilities of the Shipping/Receiving Associate:

Operate sit-down propane and electric Forklifts approximately 10% of the time
Load and unload semi-trailers, flat beds, and personal vehicles
Inspect, count, label, and process incoming material utilizing ERP system
Organize and stock the warehouse
Pull materials and process sales orders and transfers to other branch locations utilizing a computer or handheld device
Securely package, wrap, band, label, and weigh items to be shipped and ensure proper shipment method and shipping charges are applied
Order supplies to ensure the Shipping and Receiving departments runs and operates smoothly
Record inventory movement in the ERP system, Epicor
Maintain a clean and organized work environment by performing housekeeping duties and cleaning
Other duties as needed to maintain a functional warehouse environment

Compensation for the Shipping/Receiving Associate:

$18-19/hr depending on experience

Hours for the Shipping/Receiving Associate:

Hours are Monday – Friday 7am-3pm
Overtime is rare, but must be available if needed, typically during the week

Requirements of the Shipping/Receiving Associate:

Minimum of 6 months Forklift experience
Prior manufacturing or warehouse experience
Shipping/Receiving experience preferred
Must be able to lift 25-50lbs regularly and 75lbs occasionally
Excellent computer skills
Comfortable standing, bending, and lifting
Ability to operate machinery safely and effectively
Works effectively both independently and as a team
Proficient verbal and written communication skills
Must be able to pass a drug screen and extensive background check
Ability to work in a non-climate controlled environment
