2nd Shift Manufacturing Supervisor | Holland, OH

We are seeking an experienced 2nd Shift Supervisor to lead production operations, support employees, and help ensure safety, quality, and productivity goals are met.

We are currently seeking a 2nd Shift Supervisor for a steel tube and bar manufacturing facility located in Holland, OH. The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment and strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities of the 2nd Shift Supervisor:

• Oversee daily 2nd shift manufacturing and production operations
• Execute the designated production plan and communicate daily production activities
• Communicate expectations to employees and ensure employees remain on task
• Train employees and ensure they understand and are competent in their assigned responsibilities
• Provide daily feedback, coaching, and direction to production employees
• Evaluate and document employee performance using the company's performance review process
• Assist with employee and production-related problem resolution
• Ensure employees follow all company safety policies, procedures, and safe work practices
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
• Complete and maintain required employee and production documentation
• Communicate operational issues and concerns to the Director of Operations
• Assist Human Resources and management with maintaining appropriate staffing levels
• Monitor plant cleanliness and housekeeping standards
• Support quality and production requirements throughout the shift
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements of the 2nd Shift Supervisor:

• 3–5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment
• Previous experience leading, coaching, or managing production employees
• Knowledge or training in safety regulations and safe work practices
• Knowledge of Quality Management Systems, such as ISO 9000, preferred
• General computer skills, including Microsoft Office
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Ability to adapt and work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to communicate expectations and provide constructive feedback to employees
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle employee concerns professionally
• Ability to work effectively with employees, management, Human Resources, and other departments
• Must be able to frequently walk, stand, sit, kneel, and stoop
• Must be able to occasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment where temperatures may vary
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and background screen
• High school diploma/GED preferred

Shift for the 2nd Shift Supervisor:

• 2nd shift Monday–Friday 2:30pm-11pm
• Overtime up until 1am as needed 
• Saturday overtime required as needed

Compensation for the 2nd Shift Supervisor:

• Around $30/hr based on experience
