Industrial Sales Representative

Monroe, MI

Our client in Monroe, MI is seeking an individual with both a technical background and business or industrial sales background to fill a Direct-Hire Inside/Outside Industrial Sales Representative opening.

Responsibilities of the Industrial Sales Representative position:

  • Development of the product line by developing strategies for increased sales
  • Provides ongoing communication and technical training to the sales representatives about the product line to optimize sales

  • Communicates with potential customers providing technical information and quotes as requested
  • Monitor and analyze the market and sales statistics to determine potential sales opportunities
  • Maintains accurate customer files and a documented system of regular communication with customers to ensure that sales opportunities are not missed due to lack of follow up
  • Collaborates with engineering in development of generic blueprints, metallurgical enhancements and design modifications
  • Consults with customers to troubleshoot and resolve equipment failures
  • Tracks process of customer delivery schedule to ensure customer satisfaction

Requirements of the Industrial Sales Representative position:

  • Bachelor s Degree in Technical or business field and 2 years industrial sales experience OR 10 years of related industrial sales experience
  • Must be willing to travel extensively both domestically and internationally
  • Must be able to interact with point of contacts at facilities such as paper mills, power generation plants, boiler operators, control room operators, etc.
  • Well versed with ERP
  • Strategic planning and thinking
  • Resourceful
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Persuasive, innovative, and flexible

Compensation and Hours of the Industrial Sales Representative position:

Hours: Monday Friday 8am-4:30pm but must be flexible

Salary: $50-$65,000/year
