The Advance Group is currently seeking a 1st shift Quality Control Technician for a steel tube and bar facility located in Holland, OH. The ideal candidate will possess previous experience in a production or general labor environment.

Responsibilities of the Quality Control Technician:

• Perform quality inspections on steel tubes
• Document data and utilize various computer software systems
• Use blueprints and various measuring devices
• Calibrate gauges
• Read a ruler and perform minor mathematical calculations
• Bend and lift steel tubing repetitively and quickly
• Load and unload steel tubes on production lines

Compensation for the Quality Control Technician:

• $17-18/hr depending on experience

Hours for the Quality Control Technician:

• Hours are Monday – Friday 6:30am-3pm
• Must be able to come in at 5am on ocassion if overtime is required
• Overtime on Saturdays if needed

Requirements of the Quality Control Technician Position:

• Previous Quality Inspection experience
• Good computer skills
• Ability to calibrate gauges
• Experience performing SPC, APQP, and PPAP activities
• Good math skills
• Ability to work well in team environments
• Positive attitude and self-directed
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds consistently
• Ability to read a ruler and have basic math skills
• Good attention to detail
• Comfortable standing all day and working in hot, loud environments
• Experience with micrometers is preferred
• Must be able to pass a drug screen and extensive background check
