The Advance Group has partnered with a union facility in Weston, OH for a direct hire opportunity for Production Workers to join their team! The ideal candidate will be dependable, motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable performing physical labor while supporting grain handling and production operations.
Job duties for Production Worker:
• Unload bulk grain deliveries and accurately enter information into the system
• Perform daily and month-end grain inventory checks to ensure inventory accuracy
• Transport grain between storage bins as needed to support production requirements
• Monitor and maintain grain bin, DSS, and alternate product inventories
• Swap dust wagons and maintain clean, safe dust room and mixing areas
• Empty scratch barrels in a timely manner to prevent production downtime
• Support mixing operations as needed to ensure efficient production flow
• Perform routine cleaning of work areas, including roofs, distributors, vents, and exterior areas to prevent contamination
• Work with maintenance to identify and report grain leaks, water leaks, and equipment issues
• Clean and maintain load cells and other production equipment
• Unblock pipes, thaw gates during winter conditions, and perform preventative maintenance tasks
• Dispose of trash and cardboard in a timely manner
• Wear required safety equipment when working at heights or elevated locations
• Follow all safety, quality, and food safety procedures
• Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements for Production Workers:
• Strong work ethic and reliable attendance
• Self-motivated with excellent organizational and attention-to-detail skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs to a height of 5 feet
• Ability to climb heights of approximately 100 feet and work safely at elevated levels
• Comfortable working in all weather conditions, including heat, cold, and wind
• Ability to obtain confined space and respirator certifications through company training
• Basic computer skills and data entry ability
• Forklift, Yard Dog, or tractor experience preferred, but training is available
• Knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, Food Safety Standards, or food manufacturing environments is a plus
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, production-focused environment
• Must be comfortable working around allergens (nuts, dairy, shellfish)
• No cell phone use on the floor
• No jewelry, fake nails, or nail polish
Shift for Production Worker:
• 2nd Shift: Monday–Thursday 4pm-2am
• Occasional Fridays (typically 8-hour shifts)
• Saturdays are extremely rare and typically voluntary
Pay for Production Worker:
• 2nd Shift: $20.35/hr
• Bi-weekly pay
• Merit-based raises after 90 days
