The Advance Group has partnered with a global solar panel manufacturing company in Walbridge, Ohio who just opened it's 4th location in the area and has a need for Production Workers. The Production position is responsible for safely and efficiently moving materials along with warehouse duties as assigned.
Duties for the Production Worker:
- Operate equipment and manage materials during the middle-to-finish stages of the manufacturing process
- Safely manufacture high-quality solar modules while meeting production and quality standards
- Perform operational preventative maintenance and basic equipment troubleshooting
- Monitor equipment and process data using computer systems and machine control panels
- Conduct basic quality checks and document production data as needed
- Recognize equipment or process issues and communicate them promptly to leadership
- Work collaboratively with team members to maintain production goals and a safe work environment
Requirements for the Production Worker:
- 1+ year of manufacturing experience required
- Warehouse, textile, agriculture, material inspection, or relevant military experience may also be considered
- Must be able to frequently lift up to 37 lbs. (up to 45 lbs. when handling wet end caps)
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, and perform repetitive work throughout 12-hour shifts
- Frequent stair climbing and extensive walking required
- Strong hand and arm strength with the ability to grasp, carry, lift, and handle materials
- Basic math, troubleshooting, and computer skills required
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Safety-first mindset and ability to wear required PPE throughout the shift
- Excellent attendance required (maximum of 36 hours/3 days missed)
- High School Diploma or GED preferred (proof required before starting)
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must have access to a smartphone to use the company's mobile timekeeping system
