Production Worker – Steel Processing & Material Handling | $19.50/hr | Growth Opportunities

Job duties for Production Worker:
• Process custom steel orders from start to finish in a hands-on production environment
• Read work orders to identify steel type, quantity, and required cut lengths
• Retrieve steel beams, bars, and tubes using industrial carts, forklifts, overhead cranes, or jib cranes
• Measure steel using tape measures and calipers to ensure accuracy
• Operate saws and machinery to cut steel to customer specifications
• Package completed orders in wooden crates or cardboard shipping tubes using hand tools
• Load trucks and assist with shipping and warehouse operations
• Enter product and shipment information into the computer system
• Follow detailed production processes and maintain high quality standards
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

Requirements for Production Worker:
• Previous manufacturing, production, warehouse, steel, or material handling experience preferred
• Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with hand tools and machinery required
• Ability to read tape measures, rulers, and learn metric conversions
• Forklift, overhead crane, welding, or inventory experience is helpful
• Basic computer skills required; Excel experience is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions and processes carefully
• Excellent attendance and dependable work history required
• Looking for candidates with longevity and growth in previous positions
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a low-drama environment
• Comfortable standing, walking, bending, and pushing carts throughout the shift
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. as needed
• Good communication, handwriting, and organizational skills preferred
• Diploma/GED preferred but not required
• Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check
• Must have a smart phone with internet access for timekeeping purpose
• Lift up to 70lbs on occasion 

Shift for Production Worker:
• Monday-Friday schedule with open hours between 8:00am-6:30pm
• Most employees work 8:30am-5:00pm
• Occasional rotating 10:00am-6:30pm schedule for truck loading coverage
• Voluntary overtime available during the week and occasional Saturdays
• Saturday overtime hours are typically 7:00am-12:00pm

Pay for Production Worker:
• Starting pay is $19/hr
