General Labor / Assembly – 1st Shift | $17/hr | Hand Tools | Toledo, OH

We have partnered with a Toledo, OH facility that is hiring 1st Shift General Labor / Assembly Associates to build retractable tarping systems for semi-trailers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Measure, cut, assemble, repair, and install materials for tarping systems
• Operate equipment including drills, scissor lifts, grinders, buffers, and pallet jacks
• Perform measurements using a ruler and add/subtract fractions
• Move materials from ground to work tables (bending, kneeling, crawling required)
• Attach tarps to the tarping system by pushing, pulling, and maneuvering large tarps across metal rails
• Use hand tools to build beams, rails, and structural components
• Inspect finished products for quality
• Package and label completed materials
• Read and interpret instructions and work orders
• Lift and pull materials up to 75 lbs

Requirements:

• Experience with hand tools and power tools (drills, etc.)
• Previous general labor, construction, or assembly experience preferred
• Strong math skills and ability to read a ruler
• Comfortable working at heights (scissor lift up to 10–12 ft)
• Ability to stand, bend, twist, kneel, and perform physical work for extended periods
• Ability to lift and move up to 75 lbs repeatedly
• Ability to work at a fast pace and perform repetitive tasks
• Strong attention to safety
• High School Diploma or GED

Schedule:

• Monday–Friday, 5:30 AM – 2:00 PM
• Must be available to stay until 3:00–4:00 PM when needed
• Occasional Saturday overtime

Pay:

• $17/hour
