The Advance Group is currently seeking a 2nd or 3rd shift Production Worker for a metal finishing company in Toledo, OH. The ideal candidate will have extensive manufacturing experience and high level of experience with hand tools.
Compensation for the Production Worker candidate:
$18/hr plus $1/hr shift premium for 3rd shift and $1.50/hr shift premium for 2nd shift
Hours for the Production Worker candidate:
Training will be on 1st shift for a few weeks: Monday-Friday 7:30am-4pm, overtime on weekends as needed.
After training, employees have the choice of moving to either 2nd or 3rd shift
2nd shift: Mon-Fri 3:30pm-12am
3rd shift: Either Sun-Thur or Mon-Fri 11:30pm-8am
Must be available to work some overtime and weekends as needed
Requirements of the Production Worker candidate:
3+yrs of manufacturing experience or work involving hand tool usage
Extensive knowledge and use of hand and power tools
Must be mechanically inclined and able to read a tape measure
Forklift and Overhead Crane experience preferred, or willingness to learn
High to detail
Able to stand for the entire shift
Excellent Attendance
Willingness to learn to weld
Comfortable working in a dirty environment
Ability to read and calculate measurements down to the hundredth of thousands
High School Diploma/GED
Responsibilities of the Production Worker position:
Count and measure parts using a tape measure
Calculate measurements down to the hundredth of thousands
Racking parts
Operating machinery to coat brass and copper
Testing chemistry in the chemical tanks
Operating a forklift and overhead crane to move parts and baskets
Complete detailed paperwork regarding orders
Perform minor welding to build anode coverings
Sandblasting parts
Operate a plasma cutter machine
