Test Support Technician – 1st Shift | $20/hr | Solar Manufacturing | Perrysburg, OH

The Advance Group has partnered with a global solar panel manufacturing company in Perrysburg, Ohio that is hiring Test Support Technicians for their Research and Development department. In this role, you will run tests, collect data, and support the development and improvement of solar panel technology.

Key Responsibilities:

• Load and unload machines with large solar panels
• Set up tooling and operate water jet machines
• Perform testing and document results for solar panel research
• Use digital calipers and measuring tools to assess glass breakage
• Troubleshoot tooling or process issues and support improvements
• Visually inspect solar panels and document defects or changes
• Enter and track data using Microsoft Word and Excel
• Safely clean and handle materials, including broken glass if needed
• Report machine malfunctions or issues to supervisors

Requirements:

• 1–2 years of manufacturing experience
• Strong attendance and reliability
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
• High attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively in a small team environment
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs consistently
• Ability to stand, bend, and perform repetitive tasks
• Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
• Safety-first mindset
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Valid Driver’s License
• Must be able to pass a drug and background check
• Must have access to a smartphone for mobile timekeeping

Preferred Qualifications:

• Forklift experience
• Quality inspection experience

Schedule:

• 1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Voluntary overtime available

Pay:

• $20/hour
