Job Description

The Advance Group has an excellent opportunity for a General Laborer – Furniture Assembly with one of our industrial clients in Monroe, MI!

Responsibilities of the General Laborer:

  • Assemble furniture and building components according to instructions and specifications
  • Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently
  • Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met
  • Move materials and finished products within the facility
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Assist with loading, unloading, and staging materials as needed

Requirements of the General Laborer:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis
  • Able to bend, lift, reach, and squat with ease
  • Comfortable using hand and power tools
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Previous assembly or construction experience preferred but not required

Hours for General Labor:

  • 1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
  • Must be available for OT as needed 

Compensation and Benefits for the General Laborer:

  • Starting pay is $20/hr
