Pay: $23.00/hour
Shift: 2nd Shift | Monday–Friday, 2:45 PM–11:15 PM
Overtime: Overtime and weekends as needed

Process Technician – Manufacturing Job in Addison, MI

The Advance Group is hiring a Process Technician for a manufacturing facility in Addison, Michigan. This 2nd shift Manufacturing Technician / Production Technician role is responsible for operating, setting up, and adjusting production equipment, including CNC routers and molding equipment.

The Process Technician will also perform fabrication, assembly, quality inspection, material handling, and production documentation. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced manufacturing professional who is comfortable working with production machinery, hand tools, measuring equipment, and manufacturing processes.

What Does a Process Technician Do?

As a 2nd Shift Process Technician, you will:

  • Operate, set up, and adjust CNC routers, molding equipment, fabrication equipment, assembly equipment, and other production machinery
  • Mix and load plastic materials and pigments used in the molding process
  • Read and follow production orders, simple mechanical drawings, specifications, and work instructions
  • Perform self-inspections and quality checks throughout the manufacturing process
  • Use measuring and inspection equipment, including calipers, gauges, gauge blocks, steel rules, and go/no-go gauges
  • Maintain accurate production and inspection records
  • Perform fabrication and assembly of molded and manufactured products
  • Package, label, count, and move in-process and finished products
  • Use hand tools, power tools, drill presses, saws, pneumatic punches, hydraulic punches, and related production equipment
  • Operate pallet jacks and, after appropriate training, a forklift
  • Follow all quality, manufacturing, GMP, and workplace safety procedures
  • Train or assist with training new and transferred employees after completing required qualifications
  • Work effectively with supervisors and coworkers to meet production and quality goals

Process Technician Requirements

To be successful in this manufacturing technician position, you should have:

  • Experience using common hand tools and powered tools
  • Experience operating production or manufacturing equipment
  • Ability to read and understand production documents and simple mechanical drawings
  • Ability to use basic measuring and inspection equipment, including tape measures, steel rules, calipers, gauges, gauge blocks, and go/no-go gauges
  • Ability to maintain accurate production and quality inspection records
  • Ability to follow manufacturing, quality, GMP, and safety procedures
  • Ability to lift at least 55 pounds when mixing and refilling material hoppers
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work Monday–Friday on 2nd shift
  • Forklift experience is a plus; forklift training may be provided by the company

2nd Shift Schedule

Monday–Friday: 2:45 PM–11:15 PM

Overtime and weekend work may be required based on production needs.

Pay and Benefits

Pay: $23.00 per hour
