The Advance Group is currently seeking a 1st shift Panel Wiring Technician for a Union facility in Toledo. The ideal candidate will possess 2+yrs of control panel wiring experience. Compensation for the Panel Wiring candidate:
$16-30+/hr depending on experience
Pension available
Hours for the Panel Wiring candidate:
Hours are Monday-Friday 6am-2:30pm
Overtime on Saturdays as needed
Requirements of the Panel Wiring candidate:
Minimum of 1-2yrs experience in control panel wiring
Ability to read and work from schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings
Comfortable using hand tools, drills, wire strippers, screwdrivers, and measuring equipment
Able to lift, move, and position parts with or without mechanical assistance
Detail-focused with pride in clean, quality workmanship
Strong work ethic and team player mindset
Ability to lift 50lbs independently
Responsibilities of the Panel Wiring candidate:
Build and install control panels for a variety of different industries
Read and interpret electrical schematics and Bills of Material
Gather materials and prep cabinet components for each job
Lay out and drill/punch cutouts for buttons and equipment on cabinet doors and frames
Mount electrical components onto backplates using hand and power tools
Wire components according to detailed drawings and diagrams
Use lifting equipment (crane, cherry picker) to install backplates into cabinets
Connect door-mounted devices and wire everything to spec
Perform basic wire testing with tools like a test light
Install nameplates, clean completed units, and prep for shipping
