The Advance Group has partnered with a health and nutrition supplier in Blissfield MI looking for packagers!
Responsibilities of Packager:
- Reads, understands and interprets Batch Sheets and Fill Tickets to precise specifications.
- Identifies, weighs and mixes raw ingredients for batching.
- Makes tablets and/or chews using appropriate manufacturing presses and equipment.
- Packages finished products as required.
- Labels products.
- Puts lot numbers and “best by” dates on bottles (called Spraying) using an ink jet printer.
- Cleans and sterilizes the processing equipment and area.
- Checks to ensure the quality of products before, during and after the manufacturing process.
- Maintains a clean and safe work area.
- Notifies supervisor of any mechanical or material issues.
- Responsible to report any and all, major or minor food safety problems to personnel with authority to initiate
- action.
- Promote food safety and quality awareness throughout the organization.
- Performs or assists with other projects or duties as assigned.
Requirements for Packager:
- Prior manufacturing experience preferred
- Ability to lift up to 55 lbs as needed.
- Ability to stand for duration of shift.
- Occasional bending and/or stooping required.
- Ability to perform simple math, including percentages.
- Follow LOTO procedures, safety rules, and company policies.
- Perform daily cleaning of equipment and work area with required sign-offs.
- Flexible schedule and location availability.
Hours for Packager:
- Monday – Thursday, 4:30 AM – 3:00 PM
- Overtime on Fridays as needed (6–8 hours based on demand; never 3 Fridays in a row)
Compensation and Benefits for the Packager:
- Starting pay is $16/hr
- Pay increase and benefits upon hire
