The Advance Group is currently seeking a temporary 1st Shift Material Handler for a filter manufacturer in Metamora, OH. The ideal candidate will have Shipping/Receiving and Forklift experience. 

Compensation for the Material Handler candidate:
  • $16.50/hr
Hours for the Material Handler candidate:
  • 1st Shift- Monday-Friday 6:30am-3pm
  • Must be able to come in at 4:30am for overtime and work 2 Saturdays per month
  • Temporary position expected to last 3-6 months
  • Occasional Sundays
Requirements of the Material Handler candidate:
  • Solid work history and tenure at previous employers
  • Forklift experience preferred
  • Material Handler or Warehouse experience
  • Willingness to obtain a forklift certification and operate handheld pallet jacks
  • Ability to test/inspect equipment, fixtures, and hand tools
  • Able to lift up to 50lbs
  • Knowledge of basic mathematics
  • Efficiency with essential computer functions and data entry
  • High School Diploma/GED
Responsibilities of the Material Handler position:
  • Providing materials to team members to ensure a consistent workflow
  • Supply and deliver materials to assembly personnel promptly
  • Ensure materials used match the router pick list
  • Create and print product labels
  • Consolidate proper materials and packaging labels to create a complete product
  • Assist to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of inventory levels
  • Receive and return materials to proper location using a computer inventory process system
  • Receive and stock product into desired location by using computer software
  • Process and pack shipments to ensure on time delivery
  • Follow inventory assignment directions using numbers and decimals
  • Other duties as assigned
