The Advance Group is currently seeking a 1st shift Material Handler for a steel tube and bar facility located in Holland, OH. The ideal candidate will possess previous experience operating Forklifts and Remote Cranes.
 

Responsibilities of the Material Handler:

• Operate propane Forklifts and Remote Overhead Cranes (pendulum crane with dual hook)
• Load and unload trucks with large bundles of steel
• Bend and lift steel tubing repetitively and quickly
• Complete shipping paperwork
• Inspect shipments for quality and accuracy
• Climbing into trailers and on top of steel bundles to strap and secure into trailers

Compensation for the Material Handler:

• $18-19/hr depending on experience

Hours for the Material Handler:

• Hours are Monday – Friday 7am-3:30pm
• Overtime on Saturdays if needed

Requirements of the Material Handler:

• Must have prior Forklift and Crane Operating experience
• Must have valid driver's license
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds consistently
• Good attention to detail
• Comfortable standing all day, bending, and working in hot, loud environments
• Ability to operate machinery safely and effectively 
• Must be able to pass a drug screen and extensive background check
