Assistant Supervisor – Grain Receiving & Mixing | Leadership Opportunity in Manufacturing Operations

The Advance Group is seeking an experienced Assistant Supervisor for this direct hire opportunity to help lead daily grain receiving and mixing operations while motivating and supporting a production team. Job duties for Assistant Supervisor:
• Oversee daily grain receiving, unloading, inspection, testing, storage, and transfer operations.
• Support and monitor grain mixing operations to ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality standards are met.
• Assist with maintaining ingredient inventory levels and coordinating with production schedules.
• Maintain sanitation, housekeeping, and cleaning standards throughout receiving and mixing areas.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and training to grain receiving and mixing employees.
• Assist with scheduling, assigning tasks, and ensuring proper shift coverage.
• Support compliance with OSHA, FSMA, FDA, GMP, and company safety standards.
• Maintain production records, inventory logs, and receiving documentation.
• Collaborate with maintenance, production, and quality teams to resolve operational issues efficiently.
• Act as backup supervisor when needed and help drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements for Assistant Supervisors:
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience in manufacturing, production, grain, feed, food processing, or operations environments.
• Strong communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced production setting.
• Commitment to workplace safety, quality standards, and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in dusty, noisy, and varying temperature environments.
• Previous supervisory or lead experience preferred.
• Experience with automated batching systems or inventory control systems is a plus.
• Technical training or education related to grain operations, manufacturing, or feed milling is preferred.
Shift for Assistant Supervisor:
• Full-time 1st shift position- Production runs Mon-Thurs 6am-4pm and some Fridays
• Flexible schedule required to assist with shift coverage as needed.
Pay for Assistant Supervisor:
• $60,000/yr salary
