Industrial Maintenance Opportunity in Westland, MI
The Advance Group has partnered with a leading foundry and heavy industrial manufacturing facility in Westland, MI to hire a skilled Maintenance Technician. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment to ensure safe and continuous operations.
Maintenance Technician Responsibilities
As a Maintenance Technician, you will:
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on industrial equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Maintain and repair foundry and production equipment including furnaces, conveyors, molding machines, compressors, pumps, and dust collection systems
- Diagnose equipment issues and reduce production downtime
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, manuals, and technical drawings
- Conduct inspections and perform equipment adjustments or repairs
- Install, align, and replace machine components as needed
- Document maintenance activities and repairs accurately
- Work closely with production teams to support uptime and efficiency
- Participate in continuous improvement and reliability initiatives
Requirements for Maintenance Technician
- Industrial maintenance experience required
- Foundry or heavy manufacturing experience preferred
- Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Schedule & Pay
- Monday–Friday: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
- Voluntary Saturday overtime available
- Pay rate: $17.50/hr-$20.00/hr based on experience
