Our Steel Supply partner in Erie, MI is hiring Grinding Machine Operators!

Responsibilities of Grinding Machine Operator:

• Handling of steel
• Utilizing hand tools and grinders
• Uses scale, micrometers and indicators to make setups, adjustments and check work
• Running Blanchard Grinders and Mill Machines
• Forklift and overhead crane use

Requirements for Grinding Machine Operator:

• Ability to work in a physically demanding, dirty position
• Basic math and ruler skills including fractions
• Ability to use measuring devices such as micrometers and calipers
• Must be able to stand, heavy lifting, bending, twisting
• Must be reliable and have excellent attendance

Hours for the Grinding Machine Operator:

• Hours are a split shift: Wednesday- Saturday 6am-6pm or Wednesday- Saturday 6pm-6am
• Open to working overtime and weekends as needed

Compensation and Benefits of the Grinding Machine Operator:

• Starting pay is $17hr
• Opportunity for additional training and pay increase
