Job Description
Hands-On Work with a Steady Paycheck—Start Now! The Advance Group has partnered with a Northwood, OH facility in need of first shift General Labor candidates. Responsibilities for the General Labor Positions:
Load and unload metal automotive parts into machines to smooth edges
Work in teams of two to load and stack parts from the machine
Perform repetitive tasks with frequent bending, twisting, and lifting (up to 50lbs)
Monitor timing on parts and document run times
Climb a few steps to operate the machine’s chemical supply handle
Assist with packaging finished parts
Read instructions, tell time, and identify colors as part of the process
Maintain a fast pace with minimal downtime
Clean and sweep work area
Compensation for the General Labor Positions:
Starting pay is $16/hour
Hours for the General Labor Positions:
The hours are Monday-Thursday 7am-3:30pm
Friday from 7am-noon
Some daily overtime up until 4pm to 4:30pm
Saturdays are mandatory when needed, depending on work load
Requirements for General Labor candidates:
Strong work ethic and willingness to do repetitive tasks
Dependable with a history of good attendance and reliability
Physically able to lift 30-50lbs, bend, twist, and stand for the entire shift
Able to read work instructions, track time, and distinguish between colors
Comfortable working in extreme temperatures and loud environments
Great attitude and team player mentality
Willing to work in dirty environments
Attention to detail
