The Advance Group is hiring Porter / Driver Associates in Highland Park, Michigan to support the launch of a new automotive services site. This is a great opportunity to get in early with a growing operation and help establish a high-performing team.
Porter / Driver Job Responsibilities
As a Porter / Driver, you will:
- Move, park, and organize vehicles within the lot and yard
- Perform vehicle transport and lot management duties
- Drive both automatic and manual (stick shift) vehicles as needed
- Manage and track keys using a Key Management System
- Log key movement accurately and maintain strict accountability
- Maintain yard cleanliness by removing trash and debris
- Clean and maintain office areas, restrooms, and transport vehicles
- Follow all site safety protocols and security procedures
- Work outdoors in various weather conditions
Requirements for Porter / Driver Role
To be successful in this automotive position, you must:
- Have prior porter, driver, or lot attendant experience (strongly preferred)
- Be able to drive manual (stick shift) vehicles (preferred)
- Possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Demonstrate strong job stability and consistent work history
- Have high attention to detail, especially with key tracking systems
- Be comfortable working in a security-screened environment
- Have a GED or high school diploma (or provide reason if not obtained)
Schedule & Overtime
- Monday–Friday:
- 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- OR 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
- Must be flexible to work either shift as needed
- Overtime and weekends as needed based on production demands
