Direct Hire CNC Operator Opportunity in Monroe, MI
The Advance Group has partnered with a well-established precision manufacturing company in Monroe, MI to hire an experienced CNC Operator for an immediate Direct Hire opportunity.

We're looking for a self-motivated machinist who can work independently while supporting multiple departments in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
CNC Operator Responsibilities
As a CNC Operator, you will:
- Operate CNC milling and turning machines to manufacture precision-machined components
- Set up CNC machines, select tooling, and make program edits to optimize production
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T
- Produce custom, stock, and repair components to exact customer specifications
- Perform in-process and final quality inspections using precision measuring equipment
- Verify dimensions using calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, gauges, and other inspection tools
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on CNC equipment
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality departments to meet production schedules
- Assist in mentoring less experienced machinists as needed
Qualifications
To be successful in this CNC machining position, you should have:
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of four (4) years of CNC machining experience
- Experience operating both CNC milling and CNC turning equipment
- Vocational or technical machining education preferred
- Ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T
- Knowledge of G-Code and M-Code programming
- Mazatrol programming experience preferred
- Experience using precision measuring instruments, including:
- Calipers
- Micrometers
- Dial indicators
- Gauges
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities
- Ability to safely operate forklifts and overhead cranes
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
