The Advance Group is currently seeking a 2nd shift CNC Operator for a steel tube and bar facility located in Holland, OH. The ideal candidate will possess CNC programming experience.
Responsibilities of the CNC Operator:
- Operate a EM80 CNC machine as well as a variety of other CNC machines (Lathes, Lasers)
- Perform adjustments, repairs, and calibrations on machinery
- Read a ruler, caliper, and perform mathematical calculations
- Read blueprints
- Perform maintenance and major repairs on machines
- Performs complex machining and fitting of all kids of parts, tools, and machines from prints, sketches, and written specifications.
- Performs advanced setup operations and machining operations on work involving very close tolerances or unusual requirements
- Inspect parts for quality
- Use gauges and hand tools
- Run production lines, load/unload machines, and package parts
Compensation for the CNC Operator:
- $22-32/hr depending on experience
Hours for the CNC Operator:
- Hours are Monday – Friday 3pm-11:30pm
- Training on 1st shift for 2-3 weeks, Mon-Fri 6:30am-3pm
- Overtime on Saturdays if needed
Requirements of the CNC Operator:
- Must have 5yrs+ of CNC Operating experience
- Requires a working knowledge of G and M codes and advanced shop mathematics including trigonometry
- Must have extensive experience using gauges and measuring devices
- Must be able to read blueprints
- Ability to perform maintenance and major repairs to equipment that would typically need to be done by a machine manufacturer technician
- Demonstrate familiarity and understanding of multiple program formats including profile and contour milling, boring, recessing, turning, drilling, and threading
- CNC Programming experience is preferred
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds consistently.
- Experience with micrometers, calipers, and other measuring devices
- Must be able to pass a drug screen and extensive background check
