Job Description

The Advance Group is currently looking for Machine Operators for an alloy facility located in Maumee, OH. The ideal candidate will possess forklift and crane experience and have excellent math and ruler skills.

Compensation for the Machine Operator candidate:
  • $19/hr
  • Pay goes to $20/hr once hired
Hours for the Machine Operator candidate:
  • Must be available for ALL shifts
  • Training on 1st: Mon-Fri 7am-3pm for a couple of weeks
  • After training will move to either 2nd or 3rd shift
  • 2nd shift: 3pm-11pm
  • 3rd shift: 11pm-7am
Requirements of the Machine Operator candidate:
  • Previous experience operating Forklifts and Overhead Cranes preferred
  • Manual machine operating experience
  • Must be mechanically inclined and able to read a tape measure and perform mathematic calculations
  • Ability to convert fractions to decimals without the use of a calculator
  • Ability to multi-task, perform physical work while also operating machines
  • Experience using a variety of hand tools and power tools
  • High attention to detail
  • Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds and stand for the entire shift
Responsibilities of the Machine Operator position:
  • Safely operate overhead cranes and forklifts to move stainless steel sheets from storage racks to machines to shipping and receiving
  • Operate various machines to cut steel from CNC, Laser, Plasma Cutters, Water Jet, Saws etc.
  • Measure metal parts with a tape measure, caliper, and micrometers
  • Utilize hand tools and power tools to grind and smooth parts 
  • Read and interpret work orders and diagrams
  • Lift and maneuver various sizes of steel parts which involves lifting up to 70lbs
  • Complete detailed paperwork regarding orders
