The Advance Group is currently seeking a General Manager for a Direct Hire position at a Plastics manufacturer located in Waterville, OH. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of developing and leading a safe work culture while managing multiple functions within a plant environment.

Compensation for the General Manager candidate:
  • $165-178k Salary
  • Yearly bonuses equivalent to 3 months’ salary, based on performance objectives
Hours for the General Manager candidate:
  • Monday – Friday 7:00am-4:00pm
  • Flexible schedule required
  • Will be required to travel approximately 60 miles on a regular basis to the secondary plant
Requirements of the General Manager candidate:
  • 5-7years’ management experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Bachelor of Engineering, Technology, or Business Management
  • Strong manufacturing ERP experience/knowledge
  • Industrial engineering background a plus
  • Strong leadership, team building, decision-making, and people management skills
  • Ability to work with and communicate effectively with peers, subordinates, and team members
  • Experience in leading a an ISO9001 operations culture
  • Analytical skills- ability to prioritize efforts through Root Cause Analysis and other analytical tools
  • Experience managing profit and losses
  • Proven work experience as a General Manager
  • Ability to motivate, coach, and develop people in alignment with Verzatec’s Vision and Values
  • Strong financial management skills
  • Adequate knowledge of business and management principles- budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation, and human resources
  • Computer literacy and working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Strong manufacturing ERP experience
  • Plastics processing knowledge is a plus
  • Mechanical background with PLC knowledge is a plus
  • Ability to speak bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
Responsibilities of the General Manager position:
  • Provide leadership, direction, and manage plant operations for production activities, raw material warehouse, distribution and client support
  • Responsible for driving the company to achieve and surpass sales, profitability, cash flow and business goals, objectives and customer satisfaction
  • Spearhead the development, communication and implementation of effective growth strategies and processes. Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes, and personnel designed to accommodate the rapid growth objectives of our organization
  • Coordinate plant activities through the planning with departmental managers to ensure the total manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost effective manner
  • Develop and control profits, plans, and budget
  • Implement cost effective systems of control over capital, operating expenditures, manpower, wages and salaries
  • Establish and monitor overall plant performance for production and quality standards
  • Control and minimize labor overtime, premium freight and repair expenses
  • Maintain existing plant facilities and equipment; replace or make adjustments to plant facilities and equipment when necessary
  • SQDCI- Key Performance indicators
  • Travel between the plants on a regular basis
  • Foster a success-oriented, accountable environment within the company
  • All other duties as assigned by manager
